These reviews are intended to provide an overview of a particular diet program. The idea is to highlight any concerns, and to list any recommendations and positive aspects of the program.
How is it possible to recommend a diet?
It's very difficult. Some people dislike being told what to eat. Some people want everything spelled out. Some people hate cooking. Some people love it. Some like calorie counting. Some hate it... Get the picture?
Understand this - there is no perfect diet
There are hundreds of diets out there. Some have been marketed well, some actually work, some are fringe.
The important thing to realise is that we are all different! There is no such thing as the 'perfect' weight loss program that will help every one!
So what hope is there?
You've got to start somewhere, understanding as much as possible about how your body works, and how it responds to certain foods. If a diet doesn't work, that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It means it doesn't work for you.
Make some changes to it, try something new - the human body is an incredibly adaptive thing!
Is there an agenda behind the reviews?
We have tried to present the information as fairly and credibly as possible. We try to be balanced. We recommend eDiets highly (for example), but have been less than impressed with their fitness program, and are not afraid to say so.
We hope you find the information on this site useful. Get what you can out of it!
